Public Health Informatics

Designing, developing, and supporting comprehensive public and environmental health information systems within federal, state, and local public health programs.

The application of informatics to the public health arena is a fast-growing and rapidly-evolving field. IAI has been at the forefront of this transformation by playing a key role in the development and maintenance of interoperable information systems that direct the collection, transformation, validation, storage, and dissemination of public health data. IAI staff have contributed to, or been solely responsible for, the design, development, and support of IT solutions that collect and store public health data for surveillance, biosurveillance, research, and clinical care management purposes.

IAI has successfully implemented public health systems within federal, state, and local public health programs by following comprehensive project management processes to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions. Our qualified staff includes IT project managers, business, systems, and programmer analysts, software developers/engineers, and user interface designers, with expertise in systems integration and design, project management, data modeling, application development and maintenance, privacy and data security, GIS, and business intelligence.
