Endangered Species

The Endangered Species Act (ESA) was established in 1973 with the intent to protect rare and endangered plant and animal species while ensuring their continued ecological, educational, recreational, and scientific value. IAI has contributed to the understanding of human interaction with endangered species and completed research on human interactions with at-risk cetaceans and marine mammals.
