Response and Surveillance System for Childhood Lead Exposures (RASSCLE II) Maintenance

Project Timeframe: 2006 to 2014

The Response and Surveillance System for Childhood Lead Exposures (RASSCLE II) is the State of California’s web-based statewide childhood lead poisoning case management and reporting system. IAI staff were responsible for updating and maintaining the system. Maintenance activities included: analyzing and prioritizing solutions for existing system bugs; requirements gathering for system bugs and new features; and designing, developing, testing, and deploying new system builds. IAI staff prioritized gaining a thorough understanding of end user workflows in order to drive a holistic approach to the requirements gathering and development phases of each new build. By completion of the project, system enhancements and new features implemented by IAI staff resulted in increased end user productivity, increased flexibility for data management, and improved data accuracy and system performance.
