Marine Fisheries

Human pressures on the marine environment have led to increasingly stringent regulation of fishing activities around the world. Many fishery management issues and responsibilities straddle multiple state, federal, regional, and international boundaries. IAI has extensive experience supporting the informational and analytical needs of fishery management agencies around the nation, as well as examining the effects of proposed regulatory strategies. Our work has expanded the fields of fisheries social science and the body of knowledge regarding human interactions, both problematic and beneficial, with the marine environment.
