Social Constraints and Solutions to Progressive Development of the Nation’s Offshore Aquaculture Industry
This project analyzed social factors that have long constrained progressive development of the nation’s offshore aquaculture industry, and identified viable strategies for mitigating such constraints. Fieldwork undertaken in main Hawaiian Islands, the Southern California Bight, and the Gulf of Maine, generated lessons of value for streamlining aquaculture planning processes across the entirety of the nation's EEZ.
