Project Timeframe: 2008 to 2013

The California Safe Cosmetics Program Product Database is a searchable web-based system that allows consumers to view cosmetics products that contain chemical ingredients that must be reported to the California Safe Cosmetics Program. The system also allows for cosmetic manufacturers to access and supply cosmetic ingredient information while maintaining the security and confidentiality of the stored proprietary information. IAI staff were responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining the database. By project end, the database contained over 23,000 products from more than 150 manufacturers.
