Project Timeframe: 2000 to 2005

IAI staff developed an electronic laboratory blood lead reporting application, WebCollect, for the California Department of Public Health (formerly the California Department of Health Care Services). The application receives, parses, and maps data files submitted to the Department by reporting laboratories for conversion, transmission, and processing. Following development, IAI staff were responsible for ongoing maintenance of the application, which included the conversion of the stand-alone application to a web-based application. At project end, WebCollect was receiving over 2,000 records daily, on average, from approximately 100 reporting laboratories throughout the country.
